Three Trackers adaptive sports Group

We welcome anyone interested in our support network.

On August 25, 2007 the Three Trackers of Ohio
hosted a Picnic Adventure at Lake Cable in Canton Ohio.

Activities included Kayaking, Pontoon Boat Rides
and a Picnic Smorgasbord that would make Yogi Bear envious.

Also a donation from Marc Milkie, of the
Foundation for Community Betterment in Cleveland,
was granted to the Three Trackers of Ohio organization!

This donation will be used for sports equipment.

A very special thank you for such generosity!!

Picnic Review from Dan Lipka:

If you missed the summer picnic and kayaking event at Lake Cable this weekend you missed a great time. Thanks to Steve and Kathy Lumpp we had plenty of food and boats to paddle. Steve also took several cruses on the wheelchair accessible pontoon boat. Way to go Skipper! Karen Pettit did a quick clinic on kayaking and brought along some adaptive tools to make things safe and comfortable. Way fun.

Not only that but you also missed a very big donation from The Foundation for Community Betterment http://www.communitybetterment.org/Default.aspx?tabid=1
thanks to Mark Milkie. The Foundation for Community Betterment is a national organization with chapters in 7 cities, including Cleveland Ohio. Mark came out and skied with us a couple of times and sponsored 3 Trackers for an award. Turns out that we were one of only 5 awards that were given this year! The amount was well over $4,000 meaning we are going to be getting some new equipment in time for this winter. Thanks Mark!!!

Mark brought along another member of the group and she invited us all to an upcoming fund raising/Canton chapter kickoff and get together. It will be held Sept 18 from 6-9 at the Little Chicago Bistro in downtown Canton. For more information go to http://www.communitybetterment.org/Default.aspx?tabid=256
. They just gave us an awfully nice donation, so if you can, please try to return the favor and make it out to this event.

Just remember it's never too early to think snow.

Dan
