August 18, 2008 Meeting
A full house is at METRO Hospital for the August meeting. NEOSCIA members had the opportunity to learn from several presentations.
Topic #1 - Adaptive House Design and
Remodeling - presented by Frank Kuhar Jr.
This presentation allowed members the opportunity to ask questions about home
remodeling and what is necessary to help design a living area to suite the needs
of a wheelchair. Various options are available to support the changing
needs of one new to SCI.
Topic #2 - The Science and History of SCI
and where research is headed - Dr. Melvin S. Mejia
This presentation covered in depth the broad
history and science of SCI research and where the future is headed for our
community.
Dr. Melvin S. Mejia was the main presentation
for the August event.
