Ohio Adaptive Handcycle
Sponsored by Cleveland Metroparks IGO
Bacci Park, Ohio and Erie Canal
Reservation
October 10,
2009

The Cleveland Metroparks (IGO) Institute of the Great Outdoors hosted this handcycle ride. The ride was at the Bacci Park. First time riders had the opportunity to try several style handcycles and then take a ride along the bike trails.

Once loaded on the riders preferred handcycle, the group headed onto
the Erie Canal bike trail for a ride.

Philip Brekke, Cleveland Metroparks new IGO Adaptive coordinator welcomes any skill level on his activities. Phillip has many years experience working with those who have adaptive needs and states that everyone starts off needing a push - so dont hesitate to try this activity or any other IGO adaptive event.
Everything that is sponsored by IGO adaptive is tested first hand, as Phillip rides a handcycle to be sure the course is manageable. The only one to blame for not participating is your own lack of ambition - so get motivated and participate in the next IGO handcycle ride!
